Prompts to help players pray

  • The friends refused to give up. Don’t give up, but tell Jesus about something you’ve already told him before.
  • Jesus called the paralysed man “Friend”! Tell him how you would feel if he called you “Friend”.
  • Thank God for something he has done that has surprised you.
  • Jesus still forgives thoughts or actions that are not right with God. Quietly ask him to forgive you.

  • Was it more difficult for Jesus to heal the man or to forgive his sins? Why do you think that?
  • Jesus was so popular that the house was full. Think of three reasons that made him popular.
  • What did the crowds in the house find out about Jesus that surprised them?

  • How many obstacles did the paralysed man overcome to reach Jesus?
  • Imagine you’re in the house. Where will you stand? Who – or what – will you be?
  • The paralysed man could not walk but he could still sin. What does that say about sin?
